Detroit is served by two major airports.
Detroit City Airport and Wayne County's Detroit Metropolitan Airport.
Metro airport, the larger of the two, is ranked the 13th busiest
in the world and 9th in the United States with over 29 million passengers each year. Northwest Airlines
is the largest carrier serving Detroit, Metro being their hub.
Considerably closer to downtown (10 minutes) is City Airport.
This is served primarily by ProAir and smaller commuter
airlines.
